I am usually a 24/XL size, petite. The L in this has a large amount of fabric on the outside, too big and floaty for my liking. I love love the colours in the top and bought a Medium size. The outside fabric is not too full and the stretch lining fits ok as a lining. The back is longer than the front but in the M size this looks ok for me. If you were tall then I am certain the Large would not be too full for you. It just swamps a petite like me
