Ponte Bootleg Pull Pant in Black

These are lovely pants. The fit around the body is good and the fabric feels great. A couple of small issues. rn1. The waistband is a nice wide elastic but it's not stitched down. After a few wears it's rolling and difficult to stay in place. Feels unfinished. rn2. The fabric shrank lengthwise when washed. This left the pants slightly too short. TS in store advised me to iron or steam the pants and/or stretch the length while still wet. All not practical solutions for me. The whole point of buying Ponte or Jersey fabric is so I don't have to iron them. This fabric should be wash and wear. rnOverall good and practical work pants. Would be nice if above issues were fixed in the next version.

These are just what I was looking for in a heavier weight pant that funny enough before washing may not need to be taken up too much if anything ( not norm when 5’4”). I was however extremely disappointed on the finishing of the item, given a elastic waistband is not normally a “raw” elastic band only locked down with a couple of stitches at the bottom of the elastic on the side seams…...rnThe size 18 is still too big, but sizes were limited…. This however is the ONLY advantage that the garment is not made correctly as described, as they can easily be run in on each side seam, to make them smaller. Not exactly what you want to do when you purchase a pair of pants at this price however!rnWhich is why they are getting ONLY 4 STARS instead of 5!rnrnThe lack of wider leg pants in a heavier weight fabric that you can travel with, plus good for the Melbourne winter, for those of us with Lymphoma, Lipedemaproducts, and Dercum’s that require a more wider leg pant than something skinny & tight, is extremely limited these days with TS. Given I have been a very long term purchaser of 20 plus yrs, who only buys TS, I find the current changes very disappointing… sizings, fabrics and unflattering styles. rnI normally wear a size M which I have been told is a 18-20, but need up to 22 in some items ( measured to compare to old item in the same style)….. and usually wear a 16 pants in the old sizing. With the model listed as wearing a size 14 in these it really doesn’t help…. More-so when no stores in Victoria seem to have these pants, and the tast shop assistant I asked advice from must have been a newbie,… or the Ponte leggings she had in the store are different in the leg then what I was sent out when the base pants I ordered that were too big but smaller ( but fitted) in the lower leg area in a 22. rnPlus I did try to explain- less seems are better, when you have curtain conditions!rnAlso was not happy when I went over 900 points over in rewards, than when I returned pants at the 2nd July, I had negative points on the returns, which was really a bit of a cheek, if you ask me!rnGiven I paid full price for the pants, I should have purchased them on the 1st not the 30th, silly me!

So comfortable, usually doesn't need an iron. With flat-heeled boots - no alteration needed for 5ft 4inches height.
