A highly respected Gungganji Gurugulu woman from Yarrabah in Far North Queensland, Elverina is one of the Nation’s most recognisable and accomplished artists. Enriching the fabrications with Elverina’s bold prints and traditional storytelling, invites the wearer to engage with culture and country. These two original designs were hand painted by Elverina, both exclusive to Taking Shape. Her vision was then interpreted by the Taking Shape designers and brought to life in this stunning collection.

These traditions are deeply connected to culture and represent the strength of the women and community. Gorgeous
Five stars for the stunning Indigenous design. Thank you TS and the beautiful Elverina. Pity it's printed on bamboo. It's already a quite softened print - not as vibrant as the photos would suggest (beautiful nevertheless). However being on bamboo it will just fade out out badly over time with wearing and washing. I would have preferred viscose which holds its colour better. (Of course Luna fabric is the best for colour fastness but alas! it's now a thing of the past). That said, this is a lovely garment and I look forward to mixing and matching with various TS tops and cardies.
