Flower Applique Knit Tunic in French Navy

This is gorgeous! A thick warm knit for winter but falls over the figure nicely. Elegant and classy enough to dress up with heeled boots and a coat as there is no ribbed hems or sleeve cuffs. It is simple enough to wear casual with sneakers and a denim jacket or parka. Flower appliqué is very pretty but on me, a petite on my sleeves it sits too low and I need to shorten the sleeves. It has just enough to shorten to the appliqué design but the top half and sleeves are just too big. This is a straight cut so not so good for pear shapes. I usually wear A line styles but in size 20 this fit well from the waist down. Roomy with no cling at all. I am petite with plump upper arms (shoulder to biceps). I bought my new usual size 20 in knits (since sizing changed to include more sizes) but most of the winter knits I bought have drop shoulders and too wide sleeves. The dropped shoulders are exaggerated in the new styles I bought and look sloppy, too too loose and add unnecessary extra bulk which is unflattering but more importantly it gives me too much fabric across my shoulders and bust and sleeves are very wide. I fiddled around to see if I can have sleeves taken in from the armpits to the cuffs then shorten as well but then I get folding on the chest of excess width of fabric across there as shoulder fabric has nowhere to go. Good for people with bigger arms than mine from shoulders to wrists and who are broader and bustier. To give you an idea I consider myself broad shouldered and bra size 18DD bust 119cm. Waist 112cm Hips 125cm. rnI am wondering if size 18 would work better or would it cling on midriff and belly???rnLarger sizes seem to be better for the top heavy person in this style. It is kind of “T” shaped and batwing at the same time.
