The Taking Shape x Elverina Johnson collection has arrived! A highly respected Gungganji Gurugulu woman from Yarrabah in Far North Queensland, Elverina is one of the Nation’s most recognisable and accomplished artists. Enriching the fabrications with Elverina’s bold prints and traditional storytelling, invites the wearer to engage with culture and country. These two original designs were hand painted by Elverina, both exclusive to Taking Shape. Her vision was then interpreted by the Taking Shape designers and brought to life in this stunning collection. 

The Dirringhi Linen Suit Jacket from our TS collections is a striking linen suit that will make you stand out in the crowd! Inspired by the ocean and sea life of far north Queensland, the Dirringhi print features the mussel shell which represents a delicacy, adornment and cutting tool. It is strong and can be cut and shaped and used for special purposes. It is crafted from a soft and breathable linen, and comes fully lined for additional comfort. This plus-size suit jacket features a collar, functional button front, side pockets, and a back waist tab.

Fabrication: Main - 55% Linen, 43% Viscose, 2% Elastane. Lining - 97% Polyester, 3% Elastane.

Love love love this jacket the cut, the pattern, the covered buttons, the length all perfect and true to size. The material is light weight and comfortable linen. The indigenous design just beautiful very happy with this purchase 😊

I had been counting down the days weeks/days till my beautiful Dirringhi Jacket arrived and it didn't disappoint. The colour is even more stunning in real life and the material is lightweight so very easy to wear. There are lots of attention to details in the design and its my fav jacket that attracts lots of positive feedback when I wear it. Well done TS on collaborating with Elverina Johnson as it was a bonus my fav dress store bringing out a collection of one of our most popular Aboriginal designers so a win/ win. Please do another EJ line.

Oh how gorgeous. I love TS Linen and this range is just beautiful. Dare I say - about time we embraced our stunning First Nations designs, they are unique and speak to our beautiful shared land. The fit is true to size, the linen is as good as all TS Linen, the print and colours are lovely. I also bought the matching pants. This may not be ideal for a Victorian autumn/winter but it will look stunning in Spring/Summer and what a gorgeous suit to wear on Oaks Day with a glorious hat. A beautiful statement outfit. Thanks TS - more please.
