Purple velvet is the one you must go for if you are after a luxurious smooth look for an event. Can go with any kind of necklace perfectly due the elegant V-neckline.
I wore this to a party and it sure did turn some heads. It is soft, comfortable & elegant. V neckline, side splits & sleeves are flattering & create a chic look.
Purple haze update
I'm updating my previous review. My problem was that the bodice pinched under the bust. I wore it last night out to dinner with the TS lounge bra underneath and it fitted perfectly with no pinching and no red marks on my skin! So the right bra is the answer to that problem. I teamed it with my black floral velvet TS long jacket with purple lining and my new champagne western boots. This sounds OTT and it was but I felt and looked so glamourous! Happy ending to my purchase!
Purple haze
I love purple and could not resist this gorgeous 30s style cross over top dress. So elegant! I like the flutter sleeves, they go almost to the elbow. There's only one little problem - the bodice is really tight and pinching under the bust because it's fitted, not elastic. The next size is too big so I'll have to wear shapewear to the bust or find some way to pad the bodice. I could send it back...but that purple colour and lovely design! Still deciding.
almost perfect...
I'm reluctantly returning this beautiful dress. Why?, the sleeves are wrong. The fabric is too heavy for a flutter sleeve, the sleeves should be full length. The fabric and colour are beautiful, but the dress is definitely designed to wear in cooler weather with an appropriate long sleeve. I tried it on with wraps etc, but it still didn't look right because the sleeves. Hopefully TS will bring out another beautiful maxi dress for winter with long sleeves...please...
