sizing inconsistencies

I really like these tops and find them very comfortable. However, I am frustrated at the constant size and style changes. I know they change slightly every year, and as a short person, I find it annoying. I bought one top a week or two ago to see what the current style was. Perfect - it fit so well. I ordered 4 more only for them all to arrive 2 inches longer and much wider than the top i bought a couple of weeks ago. Maybe just keep the shorter style as a petite options? I wouldn't buy if you're petite unless you want it to reach halfweay to your knees
