sizing not on point

Liked the shoe style and colours, HOWEVER, I ordered size 39 which is my size and clearly the sizing is wrong as they are way too big.. I can't return as purchased on sale... I have purchased loads of shoes in size 39 from TS but will have to avoid from here on as these shoes and a pair of slides I also purchased at the same time are too BIG... I understand no returns for clothes but when the shoes are clearly incorrectly sized, you should be able to return.... quite annoying.
