It's all about the base

1. Use gentle exfoliant wipes to remove dry skin, concentrating on the forehead, chin, nose and cheeks. Sloughing off dead skin pre-foundation will optimise and prevent your base catching.

2. Cleanse your skin thoroughly – micellar water is ideal – to remove all excess product and freshen up your skin. Take extra care to softly blot rather than rub around delicate areas like the eyes and lips.

3. Pat on a light moisturiser with SPF, allowing at least five minutes for the product to be absorbed into the skin.

4. Apply a slick of moisturising balm to lips and leave on to absorb for as long as possible. Blot off excess with a tissue just before applying lip colour.
