Luxurious linen, linen has that extra something which gives an item a feeling of grandeur, add a heavyweight cotton lace around the lower edge and you have that special garment which can be worn on all occasions.

Admired this when full price but only bought it when a lot cheaper as it needs adapting- the lace is wrong; it’s a different colour and it detracts from the beautiful pleated smocking (hard to see this in their photos). The detail on the sleeve and in the Centre back pleat as well as in the beautiful bodice just clashes with the unnecessary frill. Plus, though I am 167 cm tall, and even though I like my shirts long, the length is more dust jacket length than tailored shirt. - Centre back length was 88cm , So I am cutting it off at my normal long shirt length (77 cm) as this still covers my hips and am using the 10-12 cm lace frill on frilly clothes for my granddaughter.

I was surprised that I liked this shirt as soon as i tried it on.rnMade of a lovely linen that is not transparent and it has a bit of shape to it (not obvious in the picture). Great length. So fits everything I need. Not super excited by the wide expanse of lace at the bottom but overall I like it
